This piece is a portal. Each bead is a relic of West African craftsmanship, created in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire by artisans using the cire perdue (lost-wax) technique. The resulting forms are bold, tactile, and carry the weight of generations.

Finished with a modern pinch-and-turn silicone clasp, this necklace sits lightly on the skin while holding centuries of soul.

• About Lost-Wax Casting:
Also known as “investment casting” or cire perdue, this technique dates back over 5,700 years. Artisans sculpt each original bead in wax, encase it in a mold, and then melt the wax away, leaving space to pour molten metal. Once cooled, the mold is destroyed to reveal the cast object making each piece truly singular. This method continues today in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, preserving ancestral techniques in every form.

The silicone cord is fully biodegradable. Should it return to the environment, it breaks down into harmless particles an immense advantage over traditional plastic.
