PIPER No. 003
Garden Pageant & Painter’s Mark.
The piper is not merely worn it’s composed. A symphonic garment in three movements: overskirt, cape, and strapless overdress. Designed to shift with you, your rhythm, your ritual, your reinvention. This metamorphic silhouette is part sculpture, part story.
Piper No. 003 is a celebration of storytelling through textile. Its surface alive with painterly detail and unexpected play. Made from a striking vintage Bassett McNab scenic print, this piece features a rococo garden tableau complete with lounging figures, fountains, flora, and flying creatures, all framed in deep black for graphic drama. The colors are vivid yet softly weathered, like frescoes kissed by sun and time.
The character-rich selvage edge, left intentionally visible and intact, nods to the piece’s origin and authenticity. A contrasting patch pocket in buttery goldenrod floral adds both utility and whimsy like a surreal painter’s swatch lifted from the scene itself.
This Piper delivers dimension whether worn as an overskirt, cape, or strapless overdress. The canvas-like weight of the textile provides a gentle sculptural hold, allowing the garment to gather with pageantry or drape with ease. It is a wearable mural, meant to be read, moved in, and remembered.
