This design beams with:
•Kuchi tribal "dangle" Embossed, Pendent. Likely made of Brass, Bronze and/or Gilt; rare antiquity app. 50-80 years old from the Middle East
• Kuchi tribe circular flats & tiny, brass charms; extremely rare antiquities app. 50-80 years old from the Middle East.
• Kuchi tribe "S" closure; rare antiquities app. 40-60 years old from the Middle East
• Garnet two ways, German cut, faceted, round beads and cubes cascading on point all AAA grade from Mozambique

  • • Ethiopian, antique Brass Metal beads

    • Rosewood, natural "prayer" beads from the Philippines

    • Silk Tassel handmade in Marrakech in a raw sugar color or sea teal green. Both are wrapped with silver lurex thread

    • Authenticated with a circular, hand-stamped 14K gold paillette.

This necklace is carefully crafted with the rare, geometric, ornamental, tribal antiquity of a Kuchi Pendant. Jewelry was part of the Turkmen tribe women's dowry. These antiquities were worn by nomadic women living in the mountains, possibly Bedouin people. Embellished jewelry was worn to define the prominence of these tribal women and or family.

Conflict-free and refugee-sourced, this beautiful pendant, circular findings and brass beads are juxtaposed against the small, richly colored, geometric jewels of sparkling garnets cascading into palm wood beads.

The ROAN contains incredibly vibrant gems; shiny and polished and others classic, weathered and rutty from time bathed in rich jeweled tones colored from the earth. I've incorporated the seductively hued stones with beads of the finest variety. The beads are carefully chosen for their antiquity and craftsmanship of their makers. Please note minor flaws or imperfections may appear within these handcrafted beads or inclusions within the natural, raw gems. It's one aspect of their inherent beauty.

This is a tribal necklace like no other, filled with many healing stones and beads, fair trade sourced from places around the world.

Every design is accompanied by a list. The list encompasses history, as well as scientific details, and the meta-physical healing qualities inherent to the metals, gems & beads on your piece.

Unique gift packaging! Most accessory and jewelry items are shipped securely inside our signature, keepsake storage satchel that is made with inimitable, repurposed materials. The current is an amalgamation of antique designer drawings, antique Indian sari, repurposed past season interior design fabric swatch books & colorful transparent lighting gels. This satchel will help protect your design from damaging heat and light.

Inspiration for this and much of my work is generated from an ethnological appreciation of different cultures. My design esthetic is influenced by primitive tribal jewelry and artifacts' as tiles, pottery, textiles, garments, and the colors and hues within all of them. I relish the ornate details within ancient weaponry and armor and am fortified by history of all genres. I find foods and herbs from different lifestyles throughout the world endlessly stimulating. I'm encouraged everyday by family, music, architecture, nature, and the ecosystems within.

One of my favorite things to do is to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC with my amazing son. He now has a love and fondness for the museum experience that is growing close to his mommy's.
